Work Study Positions

Academic Year 2009-2010 Research Assistant (Work-Study) Positions: All students applying for a Research Assistant (RA) work-study position must have applied for work-study through your Financial Aid application before the deadline (April 15) and must be identified as work-study eligible. Questions regarding this should be directed to Jill Barnhart in the Financial Aid office.

Necessary Payroll Procedures:

All work-study students hired as a RA must see Meredith Ryan in the Dean’s Suite (Stuart M307) to complete necessary payroll paperwork. Students cannot begin work until this paperwork has been completed.

RETURNING STUDENTS: a student returning to work must complete a 2009-2010 work-study form.

NEW STUDENTS: a new student who is beginning work must complete all required payroll forms, which include:

* W-4 tax form
* M-4 tax form
* I-9 employment eligibility form. Please bring either a driver’s license AND a social security card/original birth certificate OR a passport (current or expired).
* Personal Data Form. Please bring a voided check for payroll purposes.
* Work-Study form

Hourly wage: $10.00, to not exceed your work-study award through your Financial Aid package
Hours per week: maximum of 10
